Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਾਈ ਈਰਖਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਭੀ ਕਦੇ ਭਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਕੋਈ ਕੁਛ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਬੀਆਬਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੀਕ-ਚਿਹਾੜਾ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿਚ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਕੂਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਲਾਇਤਬਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਲਾਇਤਬਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਛ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਾ ਉਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬੇਫਾਇਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਰਿਦੇ ਮੇਂ ਚੁਗਲੀ ਹੋਤੀ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਚੁਗਲ (ਵਜੈ) ਕਹੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸੀ ਸੇ ਉਸ ਕਾ ਸੁਭ (ਕਰਤਿਆ) ਕਰਤਬ ਕੀਆ ਹੂਆ ਸਭ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਗ਼ਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਚੁਗ਼ਲ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ) ਹੀ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਪਿਛਲੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਮਾਈ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਜੈ = ਵੱਜੈ, ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਨਿਤ ਚੁਗਲੀ ਕਰੇ. ਅਣਹੋਦੀ ਪਰਾਈ; ਮੁਹੁ ਕਢਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ, ਓਸ ਦਾ ਕਾਲਾ ਭਇਆ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਾਈ ਝੂਠੀ ਚੁਗ਼ਲੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਲਖ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਦਾ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਵਿਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ)।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਣਹੋਦੀ = ਝੂਠੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਰਮ-(ਰੂਪ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਣ ਲਈ) ਭੁੰਏਂ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੀਜ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਗਲਾ ਕੇ ਊਪਰ (ਤਪਾਵਸੁ) ਨਿਯਾਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤਾ, ਬਿਖ ਕੇ ਖਾਏ ਸੇ ਤਾਤਕਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਯੇਹ ਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਕਰਨੇ ਸੇ ਅਮਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤਾ। ਅਰਥਾਤ ਖੋਟੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਕਰ ਸੁਖ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤਾ ਅਵਸ ਹੀ ਦੁਖ ਭੋਗੇਗਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਬੇੜਾ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਜੇ ਵਿਹੁ ਖਾਧੀ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ) ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਪਾਵਸੁ = ਨਿਆਂ, ਨਿਬੇੜਾ। ਵਿਸੁ = ਜ਼ਹਿਰ।
