Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਬੋਟ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਨਿਆਸਰੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬੁਟੁ = ਬੋਟ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਆਸਰੇ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜੋ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ (ਜੁਟੁ) ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਬਖਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਚੜ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ॥੨੯॥☬ਜਬ ਮਰਵਾਹਿਓਂ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਨ ਤਪੇ ਨੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਏਕ ਮੁਹਰ ਕੇ ਲੋਭ ਸੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਭੋਜ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਮੇਂ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਪਰ ਸੇ ਗਿਰਾਇ ਦੀਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੋ ਅਬ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਬੁਲਾਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਇਹੀ ਏਕ ਮੁਹਰ ਲੈ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤਬ ਲੜਕੇ ਕੀ ਲਾਤ ਟੂਟ ਗਈ। ਤਿਸ ਪਰਥਾਇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਸਲੋਕ ਉਚਾਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੯॥
