Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਰਉ = ਕਰਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਉ = ਪਰਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ (ਦੀ)। ਭ੍ਰਮੁ = ਭਟਕਣਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਮੋਹ-ਪਿਆਰ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਿ = ਸਾਧ-ਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ (ਰਿਹਾਂ)। ਦੁਤੀਆ = ਦੂਜਾ। ਭਾਉ = ਪਿਆਰ। ਮਿਟਾਇ = ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ॥੨॥
