ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧਣੀ = ਮਾਲਕ। ਰਾਸਿ = ਸਰਮਾਇਆ। ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ = ਤੂੰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਲੇਹਿ = ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਨੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਖੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਾਹਾ = ਲਾਭ, ਨਫ਼ਾ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਇਆ = ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਇ = (ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਓਹ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ)। ਜੇਹੈ ਵਣਜਿ = ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਵਣਜ ਵਿਚ ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਈ = ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਨੋਟ: ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਦੇਹਿ' ਅਤੇ 'ਦੇਇ' ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਣ-ਯੋਗ ਹੈ)।
