ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਾਟਿ = ਕੱਟ ਕੇ। ਬਿਸਾਰੇ = ਭੁਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਿਰਦੁ = ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ। ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਿਆ = ਸਮ੍ਹਾਲੇ, ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ {ਨੋਟ: ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤੇ ਭੂਤਕਾਲ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਕਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ}।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਉਸ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੋਰ ਆਦਿਕ ਦਾ) ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਆਪਦਾ, ਉਹ ਧਨ ਘਟਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਧਨ ਗੁਆਚਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੩॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਛਿਜੈ = ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਜਾਇ = ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਗੁਆਚਦਾ। ਨ ਬਿਆਪੇ = ਜੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਨਿਰਮਲੁ = ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ। ਗਾਠੇ = ਗਾਂਠ ਵਿਚ, ਪੱਲੇ ॥੩॥

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਮੇਰਾ ਤੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਰੁ ਮੀਤ ਸਮਾਨਾ ਔ ਹਿਤੁ ਤਥਾ ਧਨ ਰੂਪ ਸਭ ਹਰੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਕਾਲ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੂੰ॥੪॥੬॥੪੫॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਐਸਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਹਿਤੂ ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥੪੫॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹੀਤੁ = ਹਿਤੂ। ਮੇਰੈ = ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ॥੪॥੬॥੪੫॥
