Fareedkot Teekaਉਸ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਝੂਠ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਸਤ ਬਚਨੋਂ ਕੋ ਝੂਠ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਨਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਕੇ ਗਲ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੇ ਅਨ ਹੋਤੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਿਅਰਥ ਝਗੜੋਂ ਕੋ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਝੂਠ ਹੈ (ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਹ) ਝੂਠ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਖਸਮ ਨੇ (ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ) ਵਿਅਰਥ ਝਗੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਣਹੋਦੇ = ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਿਕੰਮੇ। ਦਯੁ = ਖਸਮ। ਦਯਿ = ਖਸਮ ਨੇ। ਗਲਿ = ਗਲ ਵਿਚ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਲ ਫਰੋਸੀ = ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵੇਚਣੀਆਂ, ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਖਾਣੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦਹਾਗਣਿ = (ਅੱਖਰ 'ਦ' ਦੇ ਨਾਲ (ੁ) ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸਲ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਦੋਹਾਗਣਿ' ਹੈ)। ਲਛਣੁ = ਕਲੰਕ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਅਪਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੋ (ਗੋਪੇ) ਛਪਾਵੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਪ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਲਜ੍ਯਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਅਪਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨ ਕਹੇ। ਸੋ (ਪੰਚਹੁ) ਹੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸਟ ਜਨੋਂ! ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੌ ਲਾਹਾ ਮੂਲ ਸਭ ਗਵਾਇ ਲੀਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਜੋ ਸੁਭ ਕਰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਰਗਾਦ ਸੁਖ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਥੀ, ਅਰ ਮੂਲ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਸੁਭ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਥੇ, ਸੋ ਸਭ ਨਿਸਫਲ ਕਰ ਲੀਏ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋਂ! (ਮੁਕਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋ ਖੱਟਣਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਭੀ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ-ਜਨਮ-ਰੂਪ) ਮੂਲ ਭੀ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੋਪੇ = ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਓਨਿ = ਉਸ ਨੇ। ਲਾਹਾ = ਖੱਟੀ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੇ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੇਦ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਤ ਕੋ ਕਹ ਕਰ ਸੁਨਾਵਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਬਚਨ ਭੀ ਉਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਕੇ ਊਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਣ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਆਦਿ ਸੇ ਹੀ ਬੇਦ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਯੇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕਰ ਸੁਨਾ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਬਚਨ ਸਭ ਸੇ ਅਧਿਕ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਨਾਨਕ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) (ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਇਹ) ਪਹਿਲਾ ਆਗਮ ਨਿਗਮ ਹੈ (ਇਹੋ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਵੇਦ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਮ ਸਿੱਧਾਂਤ ਕਿ) ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ (ਸਭ ਤੋਂ) ਵਧੀਕ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੀਕ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਗਮੁ = ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ। ਨਿਗਮੁ = ਵੇਦ। ਉਪਰਿ ਆਇਆ = (ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਕ) ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਿਕ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ (ਪਰ) ਮਨਮੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਮਝਣ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ॥੨॥
