Prof. Sahib Singh(ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੁਕਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ = ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ। ਛੂਟਾ = ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਥਾਂ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਧਰੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ, ਉਥੇ ਅੱਪੜਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਔਖਾ ਸੀ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ (ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ) ਰਾਖੇ ਬਣੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਖਮ ਥਾਨ = ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ। ਧਰੀਆ = (ਨਾਮ-ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਰਾਖ = ਰਾਖੇ, ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਰਾਖੇ। ਸੂਰੂਟਾ = ਸੂਰਮੇ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਇਹ ਇਕ ਕਠਨ ਕਿਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਤਾਂਈ ਹੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਅੱਪੜਦਾ, ਪ੍ਰਤੂ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਮੈਂ ਦੇਹਿ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੁੱਟ (ਜਿੱਤ) ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਵਾਸਨਾ ਰੂਪੀ ਕਠਠ (ਗਾਰ) ਜਲ੍ਹਣ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਖਾਈ ਹੈ। ਐਸੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਮੇਂ ਬੁਧੀ ਰੂਪੀ ਹਾਥ ਪਹੁਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਤਾ ਥਾ, ਭਾਵ ਜੀਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਤਾ ਥਾ। ਜਬ ਸੰਤ (ਸਾਨਥ) ਸਾਥੀ ਵਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਭਏ ਤਬ ਵਹੁ ਕਿਲਾ ਲੂਟਾ, ਭਾਵ ਜੀਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਬੜੀ ਔਖੀ ਖਾਈ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, (ਉਸ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਤਕ) ਹੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਬਣ ਗਏ, (ਉਹ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ) ਲੁੱਟ ਲਿਆ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਾਰ੍ਹ = ਟੋਆ, ਗੜ੍ਹਾ, ਖਾਈ। ਕਰੁ = ਹੱਥ। ਸਾਨਥ = ਸਾਥੀ ॥੧॥
