Sant Singh KhalsaAt first, he did not show respect to the Guru; later, he offered excuses, but it is no use.

Fareedkot Teeka(ਅਗੋ ਦੇ) ਪਹਿਲੇ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਨੇ (ਭਾਉ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰ (ਸਤ) ਸਤਕਾਰ ਸੇ ਨਿਉਤਾ (ਦਿਚੈ) ਦੀਆ। ਨਾਮ ਨਿਆਵਾ ਤਪੇ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਕਹਣੇ ਕੋ ਸਤਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਕੀਆ, ਭਾਵ ਨੇਉਤਾ ਨਾ ਮਾਨਿਆ। ਪੀਛੇ ਲੋਕੋਂ ਪਾਸ ਕਹਤਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਲੇਵੇਂ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਭਏ: ਐਸਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਅਬ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵਤਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਮਨ ਦਾ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ, ਪਿਛੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਖਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗੋ ਦੇ = ਪਹਿਲਾਂ। ਸਤ ਭਾਉ = ਆਦਰ, ਨੇਕ-ਭਾਵ, ਚੰਗਾ ਸਲੂਕ। ਦਿਚੈ = ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਏ। ਪਿਛੋਦੇ = ਸਮਾ ਵਿਹਾ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਚਾਰੀ (ਗੁਰੂ-ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਆਉਂਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਉਣ ਜਾਣ ਲੋਕਾਚਾਰੀ ਹੀ ਹੈ)।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੂੜੀ = ਝੂਠ ਮੂਠ ਹੀ; ਲੋਕਾਚਾਰੀ ਹੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਪਿਉ = ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ। ਕੇਰਾ = ਦਾ। ਭਰਮੁ = ਭਟਕਣਾ।
