Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਸਿਖਹੁ! ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰੋ। ਵਹੁ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਕੈਸਾ ਹੈ? ਜਿਸ ਮੇਂ ਭਯ ਹੀ ਜਲ ਹੈ ਐਸੇ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਰੂਪ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸੇ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰ ਦੇਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤਾਂ ਤੇ) ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖੋ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈਓ! (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ = ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਖੋ! ਭਾਈ! ਤੇ ਭਾਈਓ! ਭਉਜਲੁ ਜਗਤੁ = ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ। ਤਰਾਵੈ = ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੋ ਜਨੁ = ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਪੂਜੇ ਸੇਵੇ = ਪੂਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੇਵਾ = ਭਗਤੀ। ਪੂਜਹੁ = ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੋ। ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਟਕ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ (ਮੂਰਤੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਫੁੱਲ ਤੋੜਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੁਹਾਹੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ-ਬੇਸਮਝ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਰਮਿ = ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਭੂਲੇ = ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਗਿਆਨੀ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝ ਬੰਦੇ। ਅੰਧੁਲੇ = (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਵਲੋਂ) ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ। ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ = ਭਟਕ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ। ਤੋਰਾਵੈ = ਤੋਰੇ, ਤੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਹ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਬੇ-ਜਾਨ (ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਮਾਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥੇ ਟੇਕਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਰਜੀਉ = ਬੇ-ਜਾਨ (ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਤੀ)। ਮੜਾ = ਸਮਾਧਾਂ। ਬਿਰਥੀ = ਵਿਅਰਥ। ਘਾਲ = ਮਿਹਨਤ ॥੩॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਗਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ; ਛਾਦਨ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਾਟ ਪਟੰਬਰ; ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ, ਸਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਸੰਚਹੁ; ਤਿਸੁ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਤੋਟਿ. ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੪॥

tis gur kau; chhaadan bhojan paatt pattanbar; bahu bidh, sat kar mukh sanchahu; tis pun kee fir tott. na aavai |4|

Sant Singh KhalsaOffer the Guru sacred foods, clothes, silk and satin robes of all sorts; know that He is True. The merits of this shall never leave you lacking. ||4||
Manmohan SinghDeeming the Guru true and supreme I offer to him in many ways clothes, viands, silk and satin robes and the merit of that offering diminishes not ever.

Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੋ ਬਹੁਤ (ਬਿਧਿ) ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ (ਸਤਿ) ਨਿਸਚੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਛਾਦਨ) ਸਮਾਨ ਬਸਤਰ, ਪਾਟ ਮਹੀਨ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਔਰ (ਪਟੰਬਰ) ਰੇਸ਼ਮੀ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਰਪਨ ਕਰੋ। ਔਰ ਮੁਖ ਜਾਣ ਕਰ ਵਾ ਮੁਖ ਮੇਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਕੋ ਸਿੰਚਨ ਕਰੋ, ਫਿਰ ਤਿਸ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੀ ਤੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗੀ॥੪॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਅਜਿਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ, ਖਾਣੇ ਰੇਸ਼ਮੀ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸ ਭਲੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਟੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ॥੪॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਛਾਦਨ = ਕੱਪੜੇ। ਪਾਟ ਪਟੰਬਰ = ਰੇਸ਼ਮ, ਰੇਸ਼ਮੀ ਕੱਪੜੇ (ਪਟ-ਅੰਬਰ। ਅੰਬਰ = ਕੱਪੜੇ)। ਸਤਿ ਕਰਿ = ਸਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ। ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ। ਸੰਚਹੁ = ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰੋ। ਮੁਖਿ ਸੰਚਹੁ = ਖਵਾਵੋ। ਤੋਟਿ = ਘਾਟ। ਪੁੰਨ = ਭਲਾ ਕੰਮ ॥੪॥

SikhNet (Spanish)Ofrécele al Guru alimentos sagrados, ropas, seda, túnicas satinadas de todos tipos, entiende que Él es la Verdad. Los méritos de esto nunca te dejarán con las manos vacías. (4)

Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ (ਚਿਹਨੁ) ਨਿਸਾਨ, ਭਾਵ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਸੋਈ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਦਾਸੋਂ ਕਾ, ਭਾਵ ਸਤ, ਚਿਤ, ਆਨੰਦ ਹੈ। ਯਦਪ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਕਾ ਚਿੰਨ ਏਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਦਪੀ ਔਰ ਜੀਵ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਨਤੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਤ, ਚਿਤ, ਆਨੰਦ ਰੂਪ ਹੂੰ ਔਰ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਦਾਸੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਆਪ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਖ ਰਾਖਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉੱਚੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ) ਲੱਛਣ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹੀ ਲੱਛਣ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਚਿਹਨੁ = ਲੱਛਣ। ਆਪੇ = ਆਪ ਹੀ। ਆਪੁ = ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ = ਸਲਾਹੁਣ-ਯੋਗ। ਸਮ ਦਰਸੀ = ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕੋ ਜੋਤਿ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਸਮ = ਬਰਾਬਰ, ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ। ਜਿਨਿ = ਜਿਸ (ਗੁਰੂ) ਨੇ। ਤਰਾਂਤਿ = ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗਮੁ = ਅਪਹੁੰਚ। ਅਗੋਚਰੁ = (ਅ-ਗੋ-ਚਰੁ। ਗੋ = ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ। ਚਰੁ = ਪਹੁੰਚ) ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ। ਊਤਮੁ = ਉੱਚਾ (ਜੀਵਨ ਬਣਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ)। ਤੇ = ਤੋਂ, ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ (ਭੀ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਸਾਰਾ ਖ਼ਾਨਦਾਨ ਭੀ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਪੇ = ਆਪ ਹੀ। ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ = ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ। ਵਸਿ = ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ।
