Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ (ਹੈ-ਇਹ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋ = ਦਾ। ਭਗਤਿ ਬਛਲੁ = ਭਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ (ਵਛਲੁ = वत्सल)। ਬਿਰਦਾਇਓ = ਬਿਰਦ, ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ) ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਰਿ = ਮਾਰ ਕੇ, ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਜਸੁ = ਸੋਭਾ, ਵਡਿਆਈ। ਵਰਤਾਇਓ = ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Fareedkot Teeka(ਮਹਿ) ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਪੁਰ ਸਰਬ ਜਗਤ ਨੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਕਾ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੀਵੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਤਿਸ ਨੇ ਅਪਨੀ ਦ੍ਯਲਤਾ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ; ਵਾ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੇ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਮੇਂ (ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ) ਜਸੁ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਦ੍ਯਾ ਕਰ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਥ ਹਿਤ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੋਭਾ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਭ) ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੈ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ = ਸੋਭਾ। ਜੀਅਨ ਮਹਿ = ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ। ਦਇਆ = ਪਿਆਰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਤੀ ਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੇਂਦਾ (ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਔਖਿਆਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਦੇਂਦਾ) ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੰਠਿ = ਗਲ ਨਾਲ। ਤਾਤੀ = ਤੱਤੀ। ਵਾਉ = ਹਵਾ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੇਈ = ਉਹ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਹੀ (ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ)। ਤੁਧੁ = ਤੈਨੂੰ। ਭਾਣੇ = ਚੰਗੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
