Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਭਵਖੰਡਨ ਜੀ! ਅਕਾਸ ਰੂਪੁ ਆਪ ਕੀ ਆਰਤੀ ਕਾ ਥਾਲੁ ਹੈ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾਂ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਦੋ ਦੀਪਕ ਉਸ ਮੇਂ ਧਰੇ ਹੈਂ। ਔਰੁ ਯਾਵਤ ਤਾਰਾ ਮੰਡਲ ਹੈ, ਸੋ (ਜਨਕ) ਜਾਨੋ ਮੋਤੀ ਧਰੇ ਹੈਂ, ਵਾ ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਕੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੋਤੀ (ਜਨਕ) ਜੜੇ ਹੂਏਂ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਸਾਰਾ ਆਕਾਸ਼ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਥਾਲ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਤੇ ਚੰਦ (ਉਸ ਥਾਲ ਵਿਚ) ਦੀਵੇ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ, ਮਾਨੋ, (ਥਾਲ ਵਿਚ) ਮੋਤੀ ਰੱਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਗਨ = ਆਕਾਸ਼। ਗਗਨ ਮੈ = ਗਗਨ ਮਯ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਰੂਪ, ਸਾਰਾ ਆਕਾਸ਼। ਰਵਿ = ਸੂਰਜ। ਦੀਪਕ = ਦੀਵੇ। ਜਨਕ = ਜਾਣੋ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਜਿਵੇਂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਵਿਰਾਟ ਰੂਪੁ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੁਧ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਜਾਰੋਂ ਚਰਨ ਹੈਂ, ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਸਰੂਪ ਮੇਂ ਏਕ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਵਿਰਾਟ ਰੂਪ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੰਹਸ੍ਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਾਸਕਾ ਗੰਧਕੋ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਕਰਤੀ ਹੈ, ਔਰੁ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਰੂਪੁ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੰਧ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੁਧੀ ਮੋਹਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨ-ਰੂਪ ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਲਲਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਰਸ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਕਰੰਦ = ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਲੀ ਧੂੜ {Pollen-dust}, ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਸ। ਮਨੋ = ਮਨ। ਅਨਦਿਨ = {ਅੱਖਰ 'ਨ' ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਲਗਾਂ ਹਨ: (ੋ) ਅਤੇ (ੁ) ਅਸਲ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਅਨਦਿਨੁ' ਹੈ, ਇਥੇ 'ਅਨਦਿਨੋ' ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਹੈ} ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼। ਮੋਹਿ = ਮੈਨੂੰ। ਆਹੀ = ਹੈ, ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਕਿ ਇਸ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਕੀ ਪਿ੍ਯਾਸਕੋਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਜਲ ਕੋ ਦੇ ਕਰ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਕਰੋ। ਜਿਸ ਸੇਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਕਾ (ਵਾਸਾ) ਅਸਥਾਨੁ ਹੋਇ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਔਰ ਓਰ ਨ ਜਾਇ॥ ਈਹਾਂ ਤਕ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ੩ ਸਬਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਸੇ ਲੇ ਕਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਤਕ ਪੜਤੇ ਥੇ। ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਸਬਦ ਔਰ ਮਿਲਾਏ। ਅਬ ਪਾਂਚ ਸਬਦ ਪੜਨੇ ਕੀ ਰੀਤੀ ਹੈ॥੪॥੩॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਪੀਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਦੇਹ, ਜਿਸ (ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ) ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਰਿੰਗ = ਪਪੀਹਾ। ਕਉ = ਨੂੰ। ਜਾ ਤੇ = ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ। ਤੇਰੈ ਨਾਇ = ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ॥੪॥
* ਨੋਟ: ਆਰਤੀ-{आरित, आरात्रिका} ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਪੂਜਯ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਘੁਮਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨੀ। ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚਾਰ ਵਾਰੀ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ, ਦੋ ਵਾਰੀ ਨਾਭੀ ਉਤੇ, ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਘੁਮਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੀਵੇ ਇੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਸੌ ਤਕ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਆਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਆਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
