ਤਾ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ. ਨ ਜਾਹੀ ਲਖਣੇ; ਕਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਆਖਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
taa ke roop. na jaahee lakhane; kiaa kar aakh veechaaree |2|

    Sant Singh KhalsaHis beauteous forms cannot be comprehended; what can anyone accomplish by discussing and debating? ||2||

    Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਉਸਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਜਾਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ। ਵਰਨਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਸੋਚਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੰਦੇ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ?

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ (ਜਗਤ-ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ) ਚਾਰ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਰਚੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ = ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ। ਖਾਣੀ = ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਦਾ ਵਸੀਲਾ (ਅੰਡਜ, ਜੇਰਜ, ਸੇਤਜ, ਉਤਭੁਜ)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੀ ਆਵਾਗਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ (ਆਪਣੇ ਵਲੋਂ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੇਤੀ = ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੀ। ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ = ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਲੁਕਾਈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੀਵ (ਇਸ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ) ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਭਟਕਦੀ ਹੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੫॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਮਨਮੁਖਿ = ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ। ਇਆਣੀ = ਮੂਰਖ ॥੫॥

    SikhNet (Spanish)si así lo deseas, el hombre conoce Tu Misterio a través del Guru; de otra manera, el ego nos conserva en la ignorancia. (5)

    Prof. Sahib Singh(ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਇਤਨਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ) ਚਾਰੇ ਵੇਦ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ (ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਵੇਦ ਰਚੇ, ਉਹ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਪੜ੍ਹਕੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।

taa kaa hukam. na boojhai bapurraa; narak surag avataaree |6|

    Sant Singh KhalsaThe wretched one does not understand His Command, and is reincarnated into heaven and hell. ||6||

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਇਹ ਨਾਹ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਿਆ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਰਕ ਸੁਰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ॥੬॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਾ ਕਾ = ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਦਾ। ਬਪੁੜਾ = ਵਿਚਾਰਾ। ਨਰਕਿ = ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ। ਸੁਰਗਿ = ਸੁਰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਅਵਤਾਰੀ = ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ॥੬॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਆਦਿਕ) ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੁਗ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਂ ਪੁਰਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ, ਲੋਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਅਵਤਾਰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਸਲਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਚਲੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੁਗਹ ਜੁਗਹ = ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ। ਕੀਏ = ਬਣਾਏ, ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ। ਗਾਵਹਿ = (ਲੋਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਸਲਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਰਿ = ਮੰਨ ਕੇ।
