Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ (ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀ) ਜ਼ਹਰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਖੁ = ਜ਼ਹਰ। ਜਾਰੇ = ਸਾੜ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ-ਹਾਰ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਸਲੀ ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਸਮਝਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਤਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬੇਤਾ = ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਤਤ ਬੇਤਾ = ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਦਾ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਜਿਸੁ ਮਨਿ = ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਗਪਾਲਾ = {ਅੱਖਰ 'ਗ' ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਲਗਾਂ ਹਨ: (ੋ) ਅਤੇ (ੁ) ਅਸਲ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਗੋਪਾਲਾ' ਹੈ, ਇਥੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ 'ਗੁਪਾਲਾ' ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਹੈ}।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੀ) ਮੇਹਨਤ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਨਿ = ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਘਾਲਾ = ਮੇਹਨਤ ॥੩॥

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਪਰ ਵਾਹਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਐਸੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਹੈ, ਵਹੁ ਮਨੋ ਤਨੋ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ॥੪॥੧੨॥੨੩॥☬ਜਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਵਡਾਲੀ ਸੇ ਮੁੜ ਕਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜੀ ਮੇਂ ਆਏ, ਤਬ ਕਾ ਬਰਤਾਂਤ ਵਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਿਖਾਵਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੇ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੨੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ। ਬਿਗਾਸਾ = ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੨੩॥
