Fareedkot Teeka(ਰਾਮ) ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਹੰਤਾ ਮਮਤਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਵਿਖ ਰੂਪ (ਝਾਗੇ) ਲੰਘੇ ਹੈਂ, ਭਾਵ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਹੈਂ। ਜੋ ਹਰੀ ਸਮਰਥ ਮੇਰਾ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਤਿਸਕੌ (ਰਾਵਣਿ) ਭੋਗਣ, ਭਾਵ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋਨ ਆਈਆਂ ਹੈ॥

(ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ (ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ) ਨੂੰ ਔਖਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ) ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਾਵਣਿ = (ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ) ਮਾਣਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ। ਬਿਖੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ (ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ) ਜ਼ਹਿਰ। ਝਾਗੇ = ਝਾਗਿ, (ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ) ਔਖਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਦਾ) ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲ ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਮਲੁ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦਾ ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ। ਪਰਗਾਸਿਆ = ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ = ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨਿ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਗਿਆਨ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ। ਜਾਗੇ = (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ (ਦਾ) ਹਨੇਰਾ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਰੱਬੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ। ਪਰਗਟਿਆਈ = ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਪਈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗੀ, (ਤਦੋਂ) ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਉਸ) ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਿਆ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧਨ = ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਪ੍ਰਭਿ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ। ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪਿਆਰੈ = ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ। ਰਾਵੀਆ = ਰਾਵੀ, ਮਾਣੀ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲਈ। ਜਾਂ = ਜਦੋਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗੀ।

Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਸ ਕੀਆਂ ਅਖੀਆਂ ਹਰੀ ਪਿਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰ ਕਸਾਈਆਂ ਕਸ ਖੈਚ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਈਆਂ ਰਹਿਤੀਆਂ ਹੈਂ। ਜੈਸੇ (ਬਿਲਕ) ਬਿਲੀ ਕੀਆਂ ਅਖੀਆਂ (ਮਸਾਈ) ਮਾਸ ਕੀ ਤਰਫ ਖੈਂਚੀ ਰਹਿਤੀ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਬੁਧੀ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਪਰਾਇਣ ਰਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ) ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਖਿੱਚ ਖਾਧੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਿੱਲੀ (ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ) ਚੂਹੇ ਵਲ (ਖਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਖੀ = ਅੱਖੀਂ, (ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ) ਅੱਖਾਂ। ਕਸਾਈਆ = ਖਿੱਚ ਖਾਧੀ, ਖਿੱਚੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਬਿਲਕ = ਬਿੱਲੀ। ਮਸਾਈ = ਮੂਸਾ, ਚੂਹਾ।
