Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਪਾਣ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ (ਅਜੇ ਤਕ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ, ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਦੌੜ-ਭਜ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪੰਥੁ = (ਇਹਨਾਂ) ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ। ਨਾਹਨਿ = ਨਹੀਂ। ਧਾਇਆ = ਦੌੜਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਅੰਤ ਕੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਵਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਨੇ ਸਾਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੀਆ; ਵਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਨੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਹੂਏ ਪੀਛੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਸੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਦੀਆ। ਜੀਵ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਯਰਥ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਕੋ ਤਿਸਮੇਂ ਬੰਧਾਇਮਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਖਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤੂੰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਜਕੜ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਗ = ਸਾਥ। ਕਾਹੂ = ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਭੀ। ਬਿਰਥਾ = ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ। ਆਪੁ = ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teekaਨ ਤੋ ਹਰੀ ਕੋ ਭਜਾ ਔਰ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਹਾਪੁਰਸੋਂ ਕਾ ਸੇਵਨ ਕੀਆ, ਇਸੀ ਤੇ ਕੁਛ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਭੀ ਉਤਪਤਿ ਨਾ ਹੂਆ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਅਜੇ ਤਕ) ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਿਆਨਾ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ (ਬਾਹਰ) ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਘਟ = ਹਿਰਦਾ। ਤੇਰੈ ਘਟ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ = ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ। ਉਦਿਆਨਾ = ਜੰਗਲ ॥੨॥

Fareedkot Teekaਬਹੁਤੁ ਜੂਨੀਓਂ ਮੇਂ ਭ੍ਰਮਤਾ ਹੂਆ ਤੂੰ ਹਾਰ ਭੀ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਤੈਨੇ ਅਚਲ, ਭਾਵ ਆਤਮ ਵਿਸੈਣੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ) ਹਾਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਅਜੇਹੀ ਅਕਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੈ ਹਾਰਿਓ = ਤੂੰ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ) ਹਾਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਅਸਥਿਰ = ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ) ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝਾਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ (ਉੱਚਾ) ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰ ॥੩॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਨਸ ਦੇਹ ਪਦ = ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ। ਪਾਇ = ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਨਾਨਕ = ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ॥੩॥੩॥
