ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਘੜੀਏ ਘੜੀਏ = ਘੜੀ ਘੜੀ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ। ਪਹਰੀ = ਹਰੇਕ ਪਹਿਰ ਮਗਰੋਂ। ਸਜਾਇ = ਦੰਡ, ਕੁੱਟ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹੇੜਾ = ਸਰੀਰ। ਸਿਉ = ਵਾਂਗ। ਰੈਣਿ = (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ) ਰਾਤਿ। ਵਿਹਾਇ = ਗੁਜ਼ਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਬੀਤਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੦॥
