Fareedkot Teekaਪੰਡਤ ਕਹਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ ਔ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਰਸਤਿਓਂ ਮੇਂ ਚਲਤਾ ਹੈ; ਵਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਰਕਾਰੋਂ ਭਾਵ ਅਨੇਕ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੜ ਕਰ ਪੰਡਤ ਕਹਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਬਤ ਦਾਲ ਮੇਂ ਜੋ ਦਾਣਾ ਗਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਕੋਰੜੂ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਵਹੁ ਕੋਰੜੂ ਮੋਠ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਚਿਤ ਕਠੋਰ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੇ ਮਿਲਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਰਾਹੀ = ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਜਿਨੇਹਾ = ਵਰਗਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਿਸਟਸਿ = ਟਿਕਦਾ। ਤਿਸਟਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਦੇਹਾ = ਸਰੀਰ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਭਟਕਣਾ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤ੍ਰ = ਵੈਰੀ। ਸਮਾਨੇ = ਬਰਾਬਰ, ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ। ਸੁਧੁ = ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ।
