Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਮਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਕੱਢ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਰਹਰੀਆ = ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ। ਮਾਰਿ = ਮਾਰ ਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਇਸ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ) ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਕਦੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੂਏ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਬਹੁਰਿ = ਮੁੜ। ਜੂਐ = ਜੂਏ ਵਿਚ। ਹਾਰਿ = ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ॥੧॥
