Prof. Sahib Singh(ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ) ਮੂਲ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ-ਦਿਲੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ) ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ। ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਨ ਲਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੀਝ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਰੇ ਦੀ ਝਾਕ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਾਉ = ਪ੍ਰੇਮ। ਅਨਹਦਿ = ਅਨਹਦ ਵਿਚ, ਅਮਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ। ਸਬਦਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ॥੧੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬੂਡਹਿ = ਡੁੱਬਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੂੜਿ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ (ਫਸਣ ਕਰਕੇ)। ਬੈਰਾਈ = ਵੈਰੀ ॥੧੫॥

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਹਮਾਰੇ ਕੋ ਭੀ ਸਚੇ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਾ ਹੀ ਮਾਨਨਾ ਮਿਲੈ, ਏਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੇਂ ਭਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪੁਨਃ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਕੈ ਕਾਰ ਕੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਈਏ॥੧੬॥੫॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ) ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੬॥੫॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਚੁ = ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਵੈ = ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।੧੬ ॥੧੬॥੫॥
