Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਹੜੀ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਦੀ (ਹੋਈ, ਉਹ) ਗੁਰੂ (ਅੰਗਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ) ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ (ਮਿਲਿਆ) ਹੁਕਮ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਦਿੱਤੀ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਡਿਆਈ = ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ, ਇੱਜ਼ਤ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ = ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਧੁਰਹੁ = ਧੁਰ ਤੋਂ, ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ। ਹੁਕਮੁ = ਰਜ਼ਾ। ਬੁਝਿ = ਸਮਝ ਕੇ। ਨੀਸਾਣੁ = ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ, ਪਰਵਾਨਾ, ਰਾਹਦਾਰੀ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦਿਓਂ ਕੋ ਔਰ ਭਤੀਜੇ ਔਰ ਜਵਾਈ ਔਰ ਜੋ (ਸਕੀ) ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਹੈ ਵਾ ਕੁੜਮੋਂ ਆਦੀ ਸਭਨੋਂ ਕੋ (ਅਗਹੁ ਪਿਛਹੁ) ਭਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਖੋਜ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ ਸਭ ਮੇਂ ਸੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਲਾਇਕ ਦੇਖੇ। ਤਬ ਸਭ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ (ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ) ਹੰਕਾਰ ਉਤਾਰ ਦੀਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ, ਭਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ, ਜਵਾਈਆਂ ਨੇ, ਹੋਰ ਸੱਕੇ ਸਾਕ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਖ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ (ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ) ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੁਤੀ = ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ। ਭਾਤੀਈ = ਭਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ। ਸਕੀ = ਸੱਕਿਆਂ ਨੇ, ਸਾਕ-ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਅਗਹੁ ਪਿਛਹੁ = ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ। ਟੋਲਿ = ਖੋਜ ਕੇ। ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ = ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ।

Fareedkot Teekaਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਬ ਜਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਦੇਖੋ ਤਹਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਿ ਕਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟ ਆਵਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤਿਸ ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ ਜਹਾਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਯਹਿ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਜਗਤ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੇਂ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ; ਵਾ ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤਿਸੀ ਕੋ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੀ ਸਰਣ ਆਯਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ; ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਮੌਜੂਦ) ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋ = ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਬਖਸਿਓਸੁ = ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਤੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਥਾਂ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਗੰਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿ = ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਮਿਲਿ = ਮਿਲ ਕੇ। ਮੰਨੇ = ਪਤੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੁ = ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਹਲਤਿ = ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਪਲਤਿ = ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਸਿਝੈ = ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰੈ = ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਥਾਨੁ = ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਥਾਂ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਖ ਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਰਿਆ = (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਗੰਦਾ। ਜਨ ਕੈ ਵਲਿ = (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਖ ਤੇ। ਸੁਜਾਨੁ = ਸਿਆਣਾ, ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਲੰਗਰ ਮੇਂ ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਭੋਜਨੋਂ ਰੂਪੀ (ਭਿਤਿ) ਚੋਗ ਪੜਤੀ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ, ਭਾਵ ਯਹਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਰਸੋਂ ਕਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਵਰਤਤਾ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਚਰਨੋਂ ਪਰ ਆਇ ਪੜੇ ਹੈਂ। ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ (ਗੁਮਾਨੁ) ਹੰਕਾਰ ਉਤਾਰ ਦੀਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਯਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ ਸਭ ਚਰਨੀ ਆਇ ਪੜੇ ਹੈਂ॥੧੦॥☬ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਹਾ, 'ਆਪਨੇ ਬੇਟੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚੰਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਗੁਰਿਆਈ ਸੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਰਹ ਗਏ ਅਰ ਥੋੜੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਹੂਏ ਅੰਗਦ ਜੀ ਕੋ ਗੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਦਿਤੀ'? ਤਿਸ ਪਰ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
