ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਾਂਡਾ = ਹਿਰਦਾ। ਹਛਾ = ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ। ਤਿਸੁ = ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ। ਭਾਵਸੀ = ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਬਹੁਤ ਗੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਰਥ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਾਇਆਂ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧੋਤਾ = ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ, ਤੀਰਥ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਨਾਲ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੁਆਰੈ = ਦਰ ਤੇ। ਹੋਇ = ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਮੰਗਤਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ। ਸੋਝੀ = (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ) ਅਕਲ। ਪਾਇਸੀ = ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਤੁ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ = ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਨਾਹ ਸਮਝੇ। ਜਾਇ = (ਇਥੋਂ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਜਾ ਕੇ। ਅਗੈ = ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਖੱਟ ਕੇ ਇਥੋਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਜਾ (ਇਥੇ) ਵਜਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਾਲ। ਵਾਇਸੀ = ਵਜਾਏਗਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਕ = ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ।

Fareedkot Teekaਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਵਹੁ ਆਪ ਤੋ (ਨਿਹਾਲੁ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਰੂਪ ਦੁਖ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੂਆ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸਭੁ ਕੁਲੋਂ ਕੋ ਉਸਨੇ ਤਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਇਕੀਸ ਕੁਲ ਉਸ ਕੇ ਤਰ ਗਏ ਹੈਂ॥੧॥੪॥੬॥☬ਸਨਮੁਖ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ-ਚਿੱਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸੋਭਾ ਦਿਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥੪॥੬॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਹਾਲ = ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ-ਚਿੱਤ। ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ ॥੧॥੪॥੬॥
* ਨੋਟ: ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਵਖ ਵਖ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। 'ਘਰੁ ੬' ਦਾ ਇਹ ਚੌਥਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੈ।
