Prof. Sahib Singhਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਸਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਨਿਹਾਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਗੁਰਿ ਤੁਠੈ = ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ = (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹਮ = ਅਸਾਨੂੰ। ਸਬਦਿ = ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਮੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਨਕਿ = ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ। ਅਤੁਟੁ = ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਮੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਪਾਇਆ = ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ॥੨॥
