Prof. Sahib Singhਹਉਮੈ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਜ਼ਹਰ ਹੈ, (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਮਨ (ਇਸ ਜ਼ਹਰ ਦੇ) ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ) ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਦਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਖੁ = (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ) ਜ਼ਹਰ। ਅਜਗਰ ਭਾਰੀ = ਅਜਗਰ ਭਾਰਿ, ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਰ ਨਾਲ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੁਰੀਆ ਗੁਣੁ = ਉਹ ਗੁਣ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ। ਨਦਰੀ = ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੀਰਤਿ = ਸੋਭਾ, ਸਿਫ਼ਤ। ਜਗਿ = ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ। ਬਿਸਥਾਰਿ = ਬਿਸਥਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਖਿਲਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਯਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ॥੪॥੯॥☬ਏਕ ਬੇਣੀ ਨਾਮਾ ਪੰਡਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਾ ਕਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰੇ ਉਸ ਕੇ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਖੋਸ ਲੇਵੇ। ਕਈ ਪੁਸਤਕੋਂ ਕੇ ਭਾਰ ਉਠਾਏ ਹੂਏ ਸਾਥ ਰਖਤਾ ਥਾ। ਸੋ ਵਿਚਰਤਾ ਹੂਆ ਗੋਇੰਦਵਾਲ ਮੇਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਹਜੂਰ ਆਇਕਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨੇ ਕੋ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਤਾ ਭਯਾ। ਤਬ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਥਾਇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਸਦਾ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ॥੪॥੯॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਮੁਰਾਰਿ = ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਮੁਰ-ਅਰਿ। ਮੁਰ ਦੈਂਤ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ) ॥੪॥੯॥
