Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਇੰਦੁ = ਰਾਜਾ ਇੰਦਰ, (ਭਾਵ,) ਬੱਦਲ। ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਦਰ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੈ ਹੁਕਮਿ = ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ। ਜਿਸ ਕੈ = (ਸੰਬੰਧਕ 'ਕੈ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਜਿਸੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ)। ਸਦ = ਸਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ) ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲੀਐ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਂਭਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਮਿ = ਵਿਚ। ਸਹਜੇ = ਸਹਜਿ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ। ਸਚਿ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ। ਸਮਾਉ = ਲੀਨਤਾ ॥੨॥
