ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਇਰ = ਸਮੁੰਦਰ। ਸਪਤ = ਸੱਤ। ਸਪਤ ਸਾਇਰ = (ਕਾਇਆ ਕੋਟ ਦੇ) ਸੱਤ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ (ਪੰਜ-ਗਿਆਨ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ, ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਧ)। ਜਲਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਿ = (ਨਾਮ ਦੇ) ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਲ ਨਾਲ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਖਸਮ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਝੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਉਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੪॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਝੂਠਾ ਲੋਭ (ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ) ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਲੋਭ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੀਵ ਪਛੁਤਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥
