Prof. Sahib Singhਔਖੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵਾਲੇ ਥਾਂ ਸੌਖੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੁਰਗਮ = ਜਿਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੋਵੇ (दुर्गम)। ਸਥਾਨ = (स्थान) ਥਾਂ। ਸੁਗਮੰ = ਜਿਥੇ ਸੌਖੇ ਹੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕੀਏ (सुगम)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਰਸਤੇ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਖਰ੍ਹਵੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ) ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਚੁਗ਼ਲ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭੇਦ = (भिद्) to pierce = ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਣਾ)। ਭਰਮੰ = (भ्रम) ਭਟਕਣਾ, ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਰਸਤਾ। ਸਾਕਤ = ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਟੁੱਟਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਪਿਸਨੰ = (ਪਿਸ਼ੁਨ) ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ (ਪਾੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ), ਚੁਗ਼ਲ (पिशुन:)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਉਹ ਧਰਮ ਹੈ-) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਦਿਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਣਾ ॥੪੪॥* ਭਾਵ: ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ। ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਲਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
