ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦਇਆਲ = (ਦਇਆ-ਆਲਯ) ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ। ਸਰਬ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਭੰਜਨ = ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ। ਬਿਨਉ = ਬੇਨਤੀ (विनय)। ਦੇ ਕਾਨੇ = ਕੰਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ?) ਧੁਰੋਂ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਇਹ) ਨੀਵੇਂ ਕੰਮ ਹੀ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਇਉਂ ਸੜਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੀਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਪਤੰਗੇ) ॥੩॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹੀਨ = ਨੀਚ, ਨੀਵੇਂ। ਧੁਰਿ = ਧੁਰ ਤੋਂ। ਮੋਹਿ = ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ। ਪਚਾਨੇ = ਸੜਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਪੁਨਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਹਰਿਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਸਰਬ ਭਵਨੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਹੈਂ ਔਰ ਬੁਧੀ ਮੇਂ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ੍ਯਾ ਕੋ ਧਾਰ ਕਰ ਹੇ (ਨਾਮਿ) ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ! ਤੇਰੇ ਮੇਂ ਸਮਾਏ ਹੈਂ॥੪॥੪॥੧੮॥੫੬॥☬ਮਨ ਕੇ ਬਹਾਨੇ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਚਮਕ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੮॥੫੬॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ = ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ, ਉੱਘੜ ਪਏ, ਚਮਕ ਪਏ। ਨਾਮਿ = ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ॥੪॥
