Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਜੀਵ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮੂਰਖ ਜਾਂ ਗਿਆਨੀ) ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿ = ਜੋ ਕੁਝ। ਸੁ = ਉਹ, ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ। ਵਖਾਨੀ = ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਮ ਵਖਾਨੀ = ਨਾਮ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ। ਮੁਕਤ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ। ਗਤਿ = ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ। ਨਦਰਿ = ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਨਾਲ। ਨਿਹਲੀਆ = ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੨॥੧੮॥
