ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੋਊ = ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੀ। ਮੁਕਤੇ = ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਹਰਿ ਪੀਕ = ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪੀਤਾ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਵੇਂ (ਕੋਈ ਨਕ-ਵੱਢਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸਜਾਵਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਨੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ('ਬਿਨਾ ਨਕ') ਉਹ ਸਜਾਵਟ ਕਿਸ ਅਰਥ? ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਕ-ਵੱਢੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ = ਸਜਾਵਟ। ਦੇਹ = ਸਰੀਰ। ਕਰੈ = ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਕ-ਵਚਨ)। ਨਕਟੇ = ਨਕ-ਵੱਢੇ। ਕੀਕ = ਕੀਹ? ॥੩॥

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਮੈਂ (ਜਨ) ਦਾਸ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਬ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਬਚਨੋਂ ਕਰ ਹਰੀ ਕੋ ਧਿਆਇ ਕੇ (ਘਰੀ) ਘਰੋਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੇਂ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਸਰੀਰੋਂ ਰੂਪੀ ਘਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤਿਸ ਸ੍ਵੈ ਸਰੂਪ ਮੇਂ (ਮੀਕ) ਮਿਲੇ ਹੈਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ॥੪॥੩॥☬ਪੁਨਾ ਸ੍ਵੈਮਨ ਕੇ ਪਰਥਾਇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਘੜੀ ਘੜੀ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ॥੪॥੩॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਉ = ਨੂੰ, ਉੱਤੇ। ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ)। ਘਰੀ ਮੀਕ = ਇੱਕ ਘੜੀ ॥੪॥੩॥
