ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਰਿਓ. ਅਨਿਕ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤੀ; ਛੋਡਹਿ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

kar kar haario. anik bahu bhaatee; chhoddeh katahoon naahee |

Sant Singh KhalsaTrying all sorts of things, I have grown weary, but still, they will not leave me alone.
Manmohan SinghI have grown weary of adopting various and many means, but in no way do they leave me.

Fareedkot Teekaਅਨੇਕ ਹੀ ਜਤਨ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਥਕਤ ਹੂਆ ਹੂੰ। ਕੈਸੇ ਜਤਨ ਕੀਏ ਹੈਂ? ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਯੱਗ ਤਪ ਆਦਿਕ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਕਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਨੇ ਕਰ ਪੂਰਬ ਉਕਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਛੋਡਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਬਿਖਾਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ) ਮੈਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਤਨ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਤਹੂੰ = ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਕ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੁਨਿ = ਸੁਣ ਕੇ। ਤਾਕੀ = ਤੱਕੀ। ਓਟਾ = ਆਸਰਾ। ਸੰਗਿ = ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੋਹਿ = ਮੈਨੂੰ। ਤਿਨ ਤੇ = ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਸੰਤਾਂ) ਤੋਂ।

Sant Singh KhalsaI have now conquered those terrible evil-doers, and my speech is now sweet and sublime.

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਪੰਜੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਝਗੜਾਲੂ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਏ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਇ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਉਹ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਸਹਜ = ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ। ਸੁਹੇਲੀ = ਸੁਖਦਾਈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਕਮਲੇ!) ਜਿਸ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ (ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ) ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਾਜੈ = ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਤਸੂਆ = ਤੱਸੂ ਭਰ, ਰਤਾ ਭੀ {ਤਸੂ = ਇਕ ਇੰਚ ਦਾ ਦਸਵਾਂ ਹਿੱਸਾ}।
