Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਜੀਵ ਉੱਤੇ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ (ਜੀਵ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਕੀਜੈ = ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਪੁਰਸ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਸੇਵਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣੋ ਕਾ (ਨਿਧਾਨੁ) ਖਜਾਨਾ ਵਾ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੁ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਯਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਜੈਸੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰੁ ਅਮੋਲਕੁ ਹੈ, ਤੈਸੇ ਸੋ ਪੁਰਸੁ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸੇ ਅਭਿੰਨ ਹੋਨੇ ਸੇ ਅਮੋਲਕੁ ਭਯਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਆਤਮਕ ਉੱਚਤਾ ਦੀ) ਕੀਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ = ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ। ਤਿਸ ਦੀ = ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਉੱਚਤਾ) ਦੀ। ਕੀਮ = ਕੀਮਤ।

Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਜੀਵ! ਤੂੰ ਐਸੇ ਨਿਸਚੇ ਕਰੁ ਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੋ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਔਰੁ ਸੋਈ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਾ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਪਾਸ ਹਿਤ ਕੀਆਂ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਕਰ ਲੀਜੀਏ ਸੋ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰੁ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਪਾਸ ਅਪਨੇ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਬਿਵਹਾਰੁ ਕਹਿ ਸੁਨਾਈਏ ਸੋ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਸਖਾ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਅੰਤਰੰਗ ਔਰ ਬਹਿਰੰਗ ਹੈਂ, ਵਾ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਭੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ ਔਰੁ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਭੀ ਅੰਤ ਕੇ (ਸਖਾਈ) ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੋਈ ਹੈ॥੩॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ ਜੀਵ ਪਿਆ ਆਖੇ, ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਭੀ ਅਖਵਾਏ (ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਉਮੈ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ) ਪਰ ਇਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਆਪੁ = ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ, ਹਉਮੈ।
