ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ; ਗੁਰੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੈ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaWhen the mortal has good karma, the Guru grants His Grace.

Prof. Sahib Singhਤਾਂ (ਜੀਵ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਮਨ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਾਗੈ = ਸੁਚੇਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਮਰੈ = ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੰਨਹਿ = ਠੀਕ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੇ ਜਨ = {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ} ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਪਰਵਾਣੁ = ਕਬੂਲ, ਸਤਕਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
