ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ. ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ; ਸਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਆਸਾ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੩੮॥

Sant Singh KhalsaSays Nanak, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, I have found peace, and all my hopes have been fulfilled. ||2||15||38||

Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- (ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੩੮॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਚਰਨਹ = ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ। ਮਾਰਗੁ = ਰਸਤਾ। ਸੁਹਾਵਾ = ਸੋਹਣਾ, ਸੁਖਦਾਈ। ਆਨ = {अन्य} ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਰਗ = ਰਸਤੇ। ਜੇਤਾ = ਜਿਤਨਾ ਹੀ। ਧਾਈਐ = ਦੌੜ-ਭੱਜ ਕਰੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੇਤੋ = ਉਤਨਾ ਹੀ। ਹਾਵਾ = ਹਾਹੁਕਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ = ਅੱਖਾਂ। ਪੁਨੀਤ = ਪਵਿੱਤਰ। ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖੇ = ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ। ਪੇਖੇ = ਵੇਖਿਆਂ। ਹਸਤ = {हस्त} ਹੱਥ। ਟਹਲਾਵਾ = ਟਹਲ, ਸੇਵਾ।

Sant Singh KhalsaThe heart is sanctified, when the Lord abides within the heart; that forehead which touches the dust of the feet of the Saints is sanctified. ||1||
Manmohan SinghSanctified is the mind, the mind wherein the Lord abides and sanctified is the brow, on which the dust of the saints feet falls.

sarab nidhaan naam har har kai; jis karam likhiaa. tin paavaa |

Sant Singh KhalsaAll treasures are in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; he alone obtains it, who has it written in his karma.
Manmohan SinghAll the treasures are in the Lord God's Name, but he alone is blessed with it, in whose destiny it is so writ.

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ (ਹੀ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ) ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ) ਲਿਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ (ਨਾਮ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਧਾਨ = ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ। ਨਾਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ = ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ। ਜਿਸੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ = ਜਿਸ ਦੇ (ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ) ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਕਰਮਿ = (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ {ਕਰਮੁ = ਮਿਹਰ, ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼}। ਤਿਨਿ = ਉਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਨੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ, ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ) ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੩੯॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਅਸਲ) ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ। (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ (ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ) ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਬਣਿਆ)।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਾਰ = ਅਖ਼ੀਰਲੇ ਸਮੇ। ਸਖਾ = ਸਾਥੀ, ਮਿੱਤਰ।

jeh maat pitaa sut bhaaee. na pahuchai; tahaa tahaa too rakhaa |1| rahaau |

Sant Singh KhalsaIn that place where your mother, father, children and siblings shall be of no use to you at all, there, the Name alone shall save you. ||1||Pause||
Manmohan SinghWhere thy mother, father, son and brother shall be of no avail to thee, there, there, the Lord's name shall save thee. Pause.

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਾਂ, ਪਿਉ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਭਰਾ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉੱਥੇ ਉੱਥੇ (ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਹੀ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇਰੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਖੂਹ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਸਿਰਫ਼) ਉਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਨੇ (ਹੀ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ) ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ (ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ) ਲੇਖ (ਧੁਰੋਂ) ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ = ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੂਹ। ਗ੍ਰਿਹ = ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਘਰ। ਤਿਨਿ = ਉਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਨੇ। ਮਸਤਕਿ = ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਜੋਨੀ = ਅਜੋਨੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ। ਸੰਭਉ = {स्वयंभु } ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਘਟ = ਸਰੀਰ। ਬੀਠਾ = ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਵਿਆਪਕ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਮਖ = ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਸਮਾ। ਹੀਅਰੈ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਭੂਖ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ। ਲਾਥੇ = ਲਹਿ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨੈਣ = ਅੱਖਾਂ। ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ = ਰੱਜ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਗੁਰਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ। ਕਰ = (ਆਪਣੇ) ਹੱਥ {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਮੇਰੈ ਮਾਥੇ = ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ।
