ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ; ਉਪਜੀ ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaGranting His Grace, He has made me His Own. The thirst for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan wells up within me.
Manmohan SinghShowing His mercy, the Lord has made me His own and within me has welled up the thirst to see His sight.

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਲੀਨੇ ਕਰਿ = ਬਣਾ ਲਏ। ਪਿਆਸ = ਤਾਂਘ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-) ਰਾਹ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਜੰਗਲ (ਵਰਗੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਬਨ) ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਉਦਿਆਨ = ਜੰਗਲ। ਅਟਵੀ = ਜੰਗਲ। ਤੇ = ਤੋਂ। ਮਾਰਗੁ = ਰਸਤਾ। ਸੰਤ = ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ = ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ। ਮਾਨ = ਸਹਾਰਾ, ਮਾਣ। ਪਤਿ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ। ਸੁਤ = ਪੁੱਤਰ। ਪਿਤ = ਪਿਤਾ। ਬੰਧਪ = ਸਨਬੰਧੀ। ਸਰਬਸੁ = {सर्वस्व। स्व = धन} ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ, ਸਭ ਕੁਝ। ਮੋਰ = ਮੇਰਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ = ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ। ਅਸਤ = ਹੱਡੀਆਂ {अस्थि}। ਕ੍ਰਿਮ = ਕਿਰਮ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ = ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਪਰਾ ਪੂਰਬਲਾ = ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ। ਜੋਰ = ਸਹਾਰਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਚਰਨਾਰਬਿੰਦ = {ਚਰਨ-ਅਰਬਿੰਦ। ਅਰਬਿੰਦ = ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ} ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ। ਬਸਾਇ = ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ। ਹਿਰਦੈ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਬਹੁਰਿ = ਮੁੜ। ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਾਰ = ਨਾਹ ਜਨਮ ਨਾਹ ਮਰਨ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਕਟਿ = ਨੇੜੇ। ਨਿਕਟਿ ਵਰਤਨਿ = ਨੇੜੇ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ। ਸਾ = ਉਹੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ = ਸੁਹਾਗ-ਭਾਗ ਵਾਲੀ। ਦਹ ਦਿਸ = ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ। ਜਾਨੀ = ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਈ = ਉਹੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੁਮਹਿ = ਤੂੰ ਹੀ। ਪਛਾਨੂ = ਜਾਣੂ-ਪਛਾਣੂ। ਸਾਕੁ = ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ, ਸੰਬੰਧ। ਸੰਗਿ = ਨਾਲ। ਜਗਦੀਸ = ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਈਸ਼ਵਰ! ਤੁਮੈ = ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ = ਪਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ। ਸੁਆਮੀ = ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਕੋਈ = ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ। ਲਾਖੈ = ਲਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ, ਸਾਡੇ ਆਖਣ-ਅਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਸਾਡੀ ਲੋੜ) ਜਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਕਨੇ = ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ। ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ = ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਜਾਨੈ = ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੦੫॥੧੨੮॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਾ ਕਉ = ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ) ਨੂੰ। ਨਾਨਕੁ = ਨਾਨਕ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ)। ਸੇ = ਉਹ {ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ}। ਮਾਨੇ = ਆਦਰ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੦੫॥੧੨੮॥
