ਗੁਣ ਰਮੰਤ, ਦੂਖ ਨਾਸਹਿ; ਰਿਦ ਭਇਅੰਤ ਸਾਂਤਿ ॥੩॥

gun ramant, dookh naaseh; rid bheiant saant |3|

Sant Singh KhalsaUttering His Glorious Praises, suffering is eradicated, and the heart becomes tranquil and calm. ||3||
Manmohan SinghUttering the Lord's praises, distresses are dispelled and the mind is rendered clam.

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਉਸ ਸੱਜਣ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹੁ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੫॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਰਸੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ। ਰਸਨਾ = ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ। ਰੰਗਿ = ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਰਾਤ = ਰੱਤਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੫॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ = (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ। ਮੰਗਲ = ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ। ਕਸਮਲਾ = ਪਾਪ। ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਹਿ = ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰੇਰੈ = ਦੂਰ (ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧਰਉ = ਧਰਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਧਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮਾਥੈ = (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ। ਚਾਂਦਨਾ = ਚਾਨਣ। ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਅੰਧੇਰੈ = (ਮੇਰੇ) ਹਨੇਰੇ (ਹਿਰਦੇ-) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ। ਹੋਇ = ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
