ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਰਮ = (ਸੂਰਮਤਾ ਦੇ) ਕੰਮ। ਸੂਰਤਣੁ = ਸੂਰਮਤਾ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮਣਾ)।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ) ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਚਕਵੇ) ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖ ਭੁਲਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
