Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨੁ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਗਉੜੀ ਰਾਗੁ ਮੇਂ ਬਾਵਨ ਅਖਰੀ ਨਾਮਕ ਬਾਣੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਾਵਨ ਅਖਰੋਂ ਕਰ ਉਪਦੇਸ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਯਦਪਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਮੇਂ ਪੈਂਤੀਸ ਅਖਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਇਹਾਂ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਰੀਤਿ ਸੇ ਬਾਵਨ ਅਖਰ ਕਹੇ ਹੈਂ।(੩੩) ਤੇਤੀਸ ਬ੍ਯੰਜਨ ਹੈਂ ਅਰੁ੧੬ ਸ੍ਵਰ ਹੈਂ ਅਰ ਤੀਨ ਯੁਕ੍ਤਾਖਰ ਹੈਂ ਖ੍ਯ ੧, ਤ੍ਰ ੨, ਗ੍ਯ ੩, ਇਸ ਰੀਤਿ ਸੇ ਬਾਵਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਤੇ ਹੈਂ।☬ਇਸ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੇਂ ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮੂਲ ਰੂਪੁ ਹੈ ਅਰ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਟੀਕਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਪਉੜੀਆਂ ਹੈਂ। ਕਿਸੀ ਸਮ੍ਯ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਜੀ ਕੋ ਜੜਾਊ ਭੂਖਣੋਂ ਕੀ ਇਛਾ ਹੂਈ ਥੀ। ਤਿਨੋਂ ਕੇ ਨਮਿਤ ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਵੈਰਾਗ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਆਦਿ ਰਤਨੋਂ ਕਰ ਜਟਤ ਰਚ ਕਰ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਕਾ ਭੂਖਣ ਜਾਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੰਗਾ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਕੰਠ ਕਰਾਈ, ਵਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਛਾ ਕਰ ਸਰਬ ਸਿਖਨ ਕੇ ਨਮਿਤ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ। ਆਦਿ ਅਰ ਅੰਤ ਮੇਂ ਦੋ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਕੀਏ ਹੈਂ। ਸੋ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਡਬੇ ਕੇ ਢਕਣੇ ਹੈਂ ਅਰ ਇਸ ਮੇਂ ਜੜਾਊ ਭੂਖਣ ਰੂਪ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਰੱਬ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਐਨ ਆਰੰਭ, ਯੁੱਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਰੰਭ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਯੁਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਗੁਰਦੇਵ (ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ) ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਪੀਛੇ ਥੇ ਅਰ ਜੁਗ ਜੁਗ ਮੇਂ ਆਗੇ ਹੋਵੈਂਗੇ, ਅਬ ਹੈਂ। ਔਰ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਕੇ (ਮੰਤੁ) ਉਪਦੇਸ ਕਰ ਜਿਸ ਪੁਰਸ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਕੋ ਜਪਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਪੁਰਸ ਉਧਾਰ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਗਤ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ਼ੂਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼-ਦਾਤਾ) ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ = ਹਰੇਕ ਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ। ਜਪਿ = ਜਪ ਕੇ। ਉਧਰਾ = (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
