ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ। ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸੁ = ਕਮਲ ਦਾ ਬਿਗਾਸ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਰੂਪੀ ਕਉਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਦਾ ਖਿੜਾਉ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ = ਖ਼ੁਸ਼। ਸੋਇ = ਉਹ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ)।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਪਹੁ = ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਦਮ ਨਾਲ। ਕਿਨਹੂ = ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਭੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਧ = ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰਮੁਖ। ਅਚਰਜ = ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ। ਕਥਾ = ਜ਼ਿਕਰ, ਗੱਲ-ਬਾਤ ॥੧॥
