ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੰਚ ਸਖੀ = ਪੰਜ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ, ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ। ਹਮ = ਸਾਡੀਆਂ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ। ਭਤਾਰੋ = ਖਸਮ, ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: (ਸਾਹੁ) ਧਰਮਰਾਇ ਕਾ (ਪਜੂਤਾ) ਪਕੜਾ ਹੂਆ ਫਿਰ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਰਮੋਂ ਕਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਦੇਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੈਸੇ ਜੈਸੇ ਕਰਮ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਵੈਸੇ ੨ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਨਰਕ ਮੇਂ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥੪॥੧॥੩੪॥☬ਜਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਸੰਗਲਾਦੀਪ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਿਵਨਾਭਿ ਕੇ ਬਾਗ ਮੇਂ ਜਾ ਉਤਰੇ, ਸੂਕਾ ਬਾਗ ਹਰਾ ਹੂਆ। ਉਸਤਤੀ ਸੁਨ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੀਛਾ ਕੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭੇਜੀਆਂ, ਤਿਨ ਸੇ ਨ ਮੋਹਤ ਭਏ। ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਪਤੀ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਕੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਬਹਾਨੇ ਕਰ ਜੀਵੋਂ ਕੋ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੀਆ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ (ਇਕੱਲਾ) ਲੇਖਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਫੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩੪॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਹੁ = ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ। ਪਜੂਤਾ = ਫੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩੪॥

* ਨੋਟ: ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ 'ਘਰੁ ੫' ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਵਾਂ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ਹੈ। ਮੂਲ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਫਿਰ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਿਰੇ ਦਰਜ ਹੈ। * ਨੋਟ: 'ਘਰੁ ੫' ਇਥੇ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਮੂਲ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਨਵਾਂ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ 'ਘਰੁ ੬' ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। 'ਘਰੁ ੬' ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਉਤੇ ਰੀਝ ਕੇ) ਜਦੋਂ ਗਿਆਨ-ਦਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਸੇਜ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩੫॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਿਆਨ ਰਾਉ = ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੩੫॥

* ਨੋਟ: ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਿੰਗਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕਿ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ। ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੇਲ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਮੇਲ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਣਾਏ। ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੂਬ-ਸੂਰਤੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਹੇਠ-ਲਿਖੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ-ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਆਚਰਨ, ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ, ਖਿਮਾ, ਧੀਰਜ, ਗਿਆਨ, ਆਦਿਕ। * ਨੋਟ: 'ਘਰੁ ੬' ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ਵਿਚ ੫ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ ਵੱਡੇ ਅੰਕ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਅੰਕ ਇਸ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ (ਭਾਈ) ਸਭ ਕੇ ਭਾਉਨੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ! ਸਭ ਕੁਛ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਕੀਆ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਕਰਮ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵੋਂ ਸੇ ਕਰਾਯਾ ਚਾਹੁਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਸੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਅਬ ਤਿਨ ਜੀਵੋਂ ਕੋ ਕਿਆ ਦੋਸ ਲਗਾਈਏ ਕਿ ਯਹਿ ਕਾਮ ਇਉਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੀਆ, ਇਉਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਕੀਆ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵਹੁ ਸੁਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਤੋ ਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ? ਜੀਵ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨੈ ਮਹਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਾ = ਵਾਲੇ (ਕੱਚ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ) ਜੋ ਜੋਗੀ ਲੋਕ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਖਿੰਥਾ = ਗੋਦੜੀ। ਹਢਾਵਉ = ਮੈਂ ਹੰਢਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਨਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
