ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਪਿ = ਜਪ ਕੇ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ। ਜੀਵਾ = ਜੀਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਂ। ਪ੍ਰਭ = ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਸਹਿ = ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ। ਜਨਾਵਹੁ = ਤੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤਿਨਹਿ = ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ। ਤੁਮ ਜਾਤੇ = ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਾਣਾਇਹਿ = ਤੂੰ ਜਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸੂਝ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤਾ = ਤਦੋਂ। ਜਾਣੈ = ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
