ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ ਬਿਸਥਾਰਾ; ਵਿਚਿ ਧਾਤੂ ਪੰਚ ਆਪਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਭਗਤ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ) ਪੰਜ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਗਤ-ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ = ਜਲ, ਅਗਨੀ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ, ਵਾਯੂ, ਆਕਾਸ਼। ਪੰਚ ਧਾਤੂ = ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਰਸ, ਅਗਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਰੂਪ, ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਵਿਚ ਗੰਧ, ਵਾਯੂ ਵਿਚ ਸਪਰਸ਼, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਬਦ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋਟੁ = ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ। ਕੋਟ = ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ। ਕੋਟਿ = ਕ੍ਰੋੜ। ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟੰਤਰ ਕੇ = ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੇ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜੂਨਾਂ ਦੇ। ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਖੋਵੈ = ਨਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਵਜਲੁ = ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਸਾਡੇ) ਸਰੀਰ-ਸ਼ਹਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਂਹਦਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਆਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਾਇਆ = ਸਰੀਰ। ਨਗਰਿ = ਨਗਰ ਵਿਚ। ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ = ਆਕਾਰ-ਰਹਿਤ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੀਰਾ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਤਨ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਹਾਝਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ ਸਰਾਫ਼ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਿਸ ਪਰ ਆਪ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋਈ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਸੰਤ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਸੇ ਖਰੀਦਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਔ ਸਚਾ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਰੂਪ ਜਗ੍ਯਾਸੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ॥੨॥੪॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨ = ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ = {ਨਿਰ-ਅੰਜਨੁ। ਅੰਜਨੁ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ} ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗਨਿ ਕੁੰਟ = ਅੱਗ ਦਾ ਕੁੰਡ। ਮਹਿ = ਵਿਚ। ਉਰਧ = ਉਲਟਾ (ਲਟਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ)। ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗਾ = ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਦਰ = (ਮਾਂ ਦਾ) ਪੇਟ। ਮੰਝਾਰਾ = ਮੰਝ, ਵਿਚ।
