ਪਵਨ ਅਰੰਭੁ; ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਤਿ ਵੇਲਾ ॥

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)(ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਜੁਆਬ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਉ. 45: ਸੁਆਸ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ। ਉ. 46: ਇਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਵਾਸਨਾ ਕੋ ਰੋਕਨੇ ਕਾ ਵਾ ਸੁਵਾਸਾਂ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਨੇ ਮੇਂ ਜੋੜਨੇ ਕਾ ਜੋ ਅਰੰਭ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਉਤਮ ਮਤਿ ਪਰਾਪਤੀ ਕਾ ਮੂਲੁ ਹੈ। ਅਰ ਜਬ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਉਤਮ ਮਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਕਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉੱਤਰ:) ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਹੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹਨ। (ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ) ਸਮਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਕਥ = ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ। ਰਹਉ = ਮੈਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। {ਨੋਟ: ਉਪਰਲੀ ਪਉੜੀ ਦੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਰਹਹੁ' ਦੇ ਜੋੜ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਧਿਆਨ-ਯੋਗ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ "ਤੁਸੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ"}।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੁੰਨ = ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਫੁਰਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਠਦੇ। ਸੁੰਨ ਮਸੁੰਨ = ਸੁੰਨ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਞ, ਨਿਰੋਲ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ, ਨਿਰੋਲ ਉਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਫੁਰਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਹੇਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਹ = ਜਿਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ। ਨਉ ਸਰ = ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੌ ਗੋਲਕਾਂ। ਸੁਭਰ = ਨਕਾ-ਨਕ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ। ਨਉ ਸਰ ਸੁਭਰ = ਨਕਾ-ਨਕ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਰੋਵਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਨੌ ਗੋਲਕਾਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਰੋਵਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਗੋਲਕਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਹਿਣ ਰੁਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਦਸਵੈ = ਦਸਵੇਂ (ਸਰ) ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਤਦੋਂ (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ) ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਅਫੁਰ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਅਫੁਰ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਤਨੀ ਬਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਫੁਰਨਾ ਉਥੇ ਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ)।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਹ = ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ। ਅਨਹਤ ਸੁੰਨ ਤੂਰੇ = ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਅਫੁਰ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ। ਤੂਰੇ = ਵਾਜੇ।
