Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਹਨ ਉਹ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਦੀ) ਪੂਰੀ (ਸਮਝ ਵਾਲੀ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਵਿਚ) ਮੰਨੇ-ਪਰਮੰਨੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਤਿ ਪੂਰੀ = ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਅਕਲ, ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਸਤੇ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਮਝ। ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਮੰਤ = ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਾਨਿਓ = ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ, ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ। ਭਗਵੰਤ = ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਹਤ ਅਉਤਾਰਾ = ਉਤਰਨੋਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪੈਣੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰੋ! ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣੋ! ਸੁਣੋ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਛੂਟਨੁ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਬੰਧਨ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਣਹੋਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਾਸੁਦੇਵ = {ਵਸੁਦੇਵ ਦਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ, ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ} ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ। ਊਨ = ਅਣਹੋਂਦ, ਊਣਤਾ। ਕਤਹੂ ਠਾਇ = ਕਿਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਾਇ ਦੁਰਾਇ = ਕੇਹੜਾ ਲੁਕਾਉ? ਠਾਉ = ਥਾਂ। ਠਾਇ = ਥਾਂ। ਵਿਚ ॥੧॥
