Fareedkot Teekaਸੋ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ (ਵਰਨ) ਚਾਰੋ ਵਰਨੋਂ ਵਾ ਗੌਰ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਆਦਿਕ ਰੰਗੋਂ ਸੇ ਅਰ (ਚਿਹਨ) ਲਸਣ ਤਿਲ ਆਦਿਕ ਨਿਸਾਨੀਓਂ ਸੇ ਰਹਤ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਵਹੁ ਪੁਰਸ ਵਾਹਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ ਹੈ॥੪੬॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਅਵੱਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੪੬॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। {ਨੋਟ: ਤੀਜੀ ਚੌਥੀ ਤੁਕ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਚੌਥੀ ਤੁਕ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ} ॥੪੬॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਮਾਇਆ-ਗ੍ਰਸੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਬੇਸਮਝ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਇਸੇ ਵਹਣ ਵਿਚ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਵਾਂ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਉ ਹਉ = ਮੈਂ (ਹੀ ਹੋਵਾਂ) ਮੈਂ (ਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣਾਂ)। ਸਾਕਤ = ਮਾਇਆ-ਗ੍ਰਸੇ ਜੀਵ। ਮੁਗਧ = ਮੂਰਖ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ (ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ) ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਕੰਡਾ ਚੁਭ ਚੁਭ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਤ੍ਰਿਹਾਇਆ (ਪਾਣੀ ਖੁਣੋਂ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਤੜਫਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ੜੜਕਿ = (ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਕੰਡਾ) ਚੁਭ ਚੁਭ ਕੇ। ਮੁਏ = ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾਵੰਤ = ਤਿਹਾਇਆ। ਕਿਰਤਿ = ਕਿਰਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ। ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਮਾਨ = ਕਮਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਕਿਰਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੇਹ = ਜਿਸ ਦੇ। ਹੀਐ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਵਿਕਾਰਾ = ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਵਾਂ; ਇਸ ਸਮਝ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠੈ = ਜੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਪਏ।
