ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਖਟੁ = ਛੇ। ਮੂਰਖੈ = ਮੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ।

Fareedkot Teekaਪਰੰਤੂ ਜੈਸੇ ਦਸੋਂ ਦਿਸਾ ਮੇਂ ਪਵਨ ਝੂਲਤਾ ਆਯਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਏਕ ਤਰਫ ਸੇ ਆਯਾ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਤਰਫ ਕੋ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸੀ ਤਰਹਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਮੇਂ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸਿਥਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਤਾ॥੩॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਹ ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਕੀਹ ਸਮਝੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ? ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਉਂ ਹੈ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ (ਨਿਰੀ) ਹਵਾ ਹੀ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ (ਇਹੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੈ ਸਾਕਤ ਦਾ) ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ = ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ। ਦਿਸ = ਪਾਸਾ। ਪਵਨੁ = ਹਵਾ ॥੩॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੰਨ ਦੇ ਦਾਣਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਖਲਵਾੜਾ ਗਾਹਿਆ ਜਾਏ (ਉਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਹਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣੇਗਾ),

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਣ = ਅੰਨ ਦੇ ਦਾਣੇ। ਖਲਹਾਨੁ = ਖਲਵਾੜਾ। ਗਾਹਨ ਪਾਇਆ = ਗਾਹਿਆ ਜਾਏ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੇ = ਤੋਂ। ਕੋ = ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਬਰਾਸਾਇਆ = ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੪॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ, (ਸਾਕਤ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ?) ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ (ਕੰਮ) ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ) ਉਹ ਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਿਤ ਹੀ = ਤਿਤੁ ਹੀ {ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਣ 'ਹੀ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਤਿਤੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ} ਉਸ (ਕੰਮ) ਵਿਚ ਹੀ। ਜਿਤੁ = ਜਿਸ (ਕੰਮ) ਵਿਚ। ਕੋ = ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋਟਿ = ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ। ਮਨੋਰਥ = ਮਨ ਦੇ ਰਥ, ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ। ਆਵਹਿ ਹਾਥ = ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਾਂਥ = ਪੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਥ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ {ਪੰਥ = ਰਸਤਾ, ਪੰਧ = ਸਫ਼ਰ}। ਸੰਗੀ = ਸਾਥੀ। ਜਮ ਮਾਰਗ ਕੈ = ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ, ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੋ = ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਤਿਸ ਕੀ = {ਸੰਬੰਧਕ 'ਕੀ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਤਿਸੁ' ਦਾ (ੁ) ਉਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ}। ਗਤਿ = ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ, ਮੁਕਤੀ। ਬਹੁੜਿ = ਮੁੜ, ਫਿਰ। ਭ੍ਰਮਾਮ = ਭਟਕਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
