ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਚਰਨ ਲਾਗੇ. ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਤਿਆਗੇ; ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ, ਲਬਧਿ ਅਪਨੀ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥

santan kai charan laage. kaam krodh lobh tiaage; gur gopaal bhe kripaal, labadh apanee paaee |1|

Sant Singh KhalsaGrasping hold of the Feet of the Saints, I have abandoned sexual desire, anger and greed. The Guru, the Lord of the World, has been kind to me, and I have realized my destiny. ||1||
Manmohan SinghClinging to the saints ' feet I have abandoned lust, wrath and avarice. The Guru-God has become merciful unto me and I have obtained what was writ in my destiny.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਗ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਵਤ, ਗੁੱਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ-ਪ੍ਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਛ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਾਲਭਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸੰਤ ਜਨੋਂ ਕੇ ਚਰਨੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਹੈਂ ਔਰ ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਲੋਭਾਦਿਕ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੀਏ ਹੈਂ। ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਊਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਭਏ ਹੈਂ। ਜਿਸ ਆਤਮ ਵਸਤੂ ਕੋ (ਲਬਧਿ) ਢੂੰਢਤੇ ਥੇ, ਸੋ ਪਾਇ ਲਈ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ (ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ) ਛੱਡਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ-ਗੋਪਾਲ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ-ਵਸਤੂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ (ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੈ ਚਰਨ = ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ। ਤਿਆਗੇ = ਤਿਆਗਿ, ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ। ਲਬਧਿ = ਜਿਸ ਵਸਤੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਸਾਂ ॥੧॥

Sant Singh KhalsaMy doubts and attachments have been dispelled, and the blinding bonds of Maya have been broken. My Lord and Master is pervading and permeating everywhere; no one is an enemy.

Fareedkot Teeka(ਅੰਧ) ਅਗਿਆਨ ਔ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਅਰ ਮੋਹ ਏਹ ਸਭ ਬਿਨਸ ਗਏ ਹੈਂ ਪੁਨਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਭੀ ਟੂਟ ਗਏ ਹੈਂ। ਸਰਬ ਮੇਂ ਠਾਕਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਹੈ, ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਬੈਰਾਈ) ਬੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਭਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਾਹੀਆਂ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਧ = ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ (ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ)। ਬੰਧ = ਬੰਧਨ, ਫਾਹੀਆਂ। ਪੂਰਨ = ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ = ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ। ਬੈਰਾਈ = ਵੈਰੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਤ੍ਰੁੱਠ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਸਭ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੩॥੧੩੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ = ਦਇਆਵਾਨ। ਦੋਖ = ਪਾਪ। ਲਾਗਿ = ਲੱਗ ਕੇ। ਗਾਈ = ਗਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੩॥੧੩੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਕਤ = ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ। ਰਹਤ = ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ। ਰਹਤੇ = ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਤਰ = ਮਾਂ। ਪਿਤਰ = ਪਿਤਾ। ਤਿਆਗਿ ਕੈ = (ਮੋਹ) ਛੱਡ ਕੇ। ਪਾਹਿ = ਪਾਸ, ਕੋਲ। ਬੇਚਾਇਓ = ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਖੋਈਐ = ਗਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹਉ = ਹਉਂ, ਮੈਂ। ਗਾਵਉ = ਗਾਵਉਂ, ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੇ = ਤੋਂ। ਟੂਟੀਐ = ਟੁੱਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਤਿ = ਕ੍ਰਿਤ੍ਯ, ਨਿਹਾਲ। ਕਰੀ = ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
