Prof. Sahib Singhਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਗਣਤ (ਲਾਹੇ ਤੋਟੇ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ, ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੇ ਫੁਰਨੇ) ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ! ਇਕ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈਂ,

Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਮਿਲੇ ਹੈਂ, ਸੋ ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋ ਮਿਲੇ ਹੈਂ। ਮਿਲਤੇ ਹੂਏ ਕਿਸੀ ਨੇ (ਪਰਤੈ) ਮੋੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾ ਔਰ ਕਿਸੀ ਮਾਇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ (ਪਰਤੈ) ਪੜਤੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਫਸਤੇ ॥੨੪॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ, (ਮਾਇਆ) ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ (ਅਡੰਬਰ) ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨੪॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਰਤੈ = {ਇਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ 'ਪਰ ਤੋਂ' ਕਰਨਾ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਹੈ, 'ਤੋਂ' ਵਾਸਤੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਤੇ' ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ। 'ਪਰਤੈ' ਇਕੱਠਾ ਇਕੋ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਹੈ} ਪਰਤਿਆ, ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ॥੨੪॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤਾਂ) ਇਹ ਜੀਵ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ (ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵ, ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਇਸ ਦੀ ਜੰਮਣ ਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਰਣ ਜੀਵਣ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ = ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ।

manamukh ahankaaree. mehal na jaanai; khin aagai khin peechhai |

Sant Singh KhalsaThe egotistical, self-willed manmukh does not know the Mansion of the Lord's Presence; one moment he is here, and the next moment he is there.
Manmohan SinghThe proud apostate knows not Guru's court. He remains a little hither of a little thither.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਮਗਰੂਰ ਅਧਰਮੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ। ਉਹ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਇਧਰ ਜਾ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਉਧਰ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਮਨਮੁਖ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ (ਮਹਲਿ) ਸਤਸੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਜਿਸ ਖਿਨ ਮੇਂ ਕੁਛ ਲਾਭ ਦੇਖਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਤਬ ਆਗੇ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਜਬ ਅਲਾਭ ਦੇਖਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਉਸ ਖਿਨ ਮੇਂ ਪੀਛੇ ਹਟਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਮੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨਮੁਖ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਨਿਵਾਸ-ਅਸਥਾਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਤਸੰਗ) ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਕੋ-ਤੱਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਘੜੀ ਤੋਲਾ ਘੜੀ ਮਾਸਾ)।

Sant Singh KhalsaHe is always invited, but he does not go to the Mansion of the Lord's Presence. How shall he be accepted in the Court of the Lord?

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੱਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੋਏਗਾ?
Fareedkot Teekaਸਦੀਵਕਾਲ ਬੁਲਾਈਤੇ ਹੈਂ (ਮਹਲਿ) ਸਤਸੰਗ ਮੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵਤੇ, ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਹਰੀ ਕੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਮੇਂ (ਸਿਝੈ) ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪਾਵੈਂਗੇ॥
