Fareedkot Teeka(ਕਾਇਆ) ਦੇਹ ਰੂਪੁ ਕੋਟ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਸਵਾਂ ਦੁਆਰੁ (ਗੜ) ਕਿਲਾ ਹੈ, ਰਿਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਕਾ (ਦੇਸਾ) ਨਿਜ ਅਸਥਾਨੁ ਹੈ। ਅਰੁ ਸਭ ਦੇਸਾਂਤ੍ਰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਆਦਿਕ ਹੈਂ ਵਾ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਾਂਤ੍ਰੋਂ ਕੋਟ ਗੜੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਬ੍ਯਾਪਕ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਕਾਯਾਂ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਮਨੁੱਖਾ-) ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਰੂਪ) ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਜੀਅਨੁ = ਸਾਜੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਾਲ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ।

Sant Singh KhalsaNight is the summer season, and day is the winter season; sexual desire and anger are the two fields planted.

Fareedkot Teekaਰਾਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਵਨ ਪਾਵਸ ਕਾਲੀ ਰੁਤ ਸਾਵਣੀ ਅੰਨ ਭੀ ਮਹਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਕਾਲੇ ਜਾਦਾ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਕਾਮ ਚੋਰੀ ਆਦ ਪਾਪ ਕਾਲੇ ਹੈਂ। ਦਿਨੁ ਹਾੜ ਗਰੀਖਮ ਚਿਟੀ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਂ ਸਕਾਮ ਪੁੰਨ ਆਦਿ, ਚਿਟੇ ਅੰਨ ਭੀ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਸੋ ਹਾੜੀ ਹੈ। ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੋ ਖੇਤ ਹੈਂ ਭਾਵ ਇਛਾ ਸੈ ਅਰ ਦ੍ਵੈਛ ਸੈ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਰੂਪ ਕਰਮ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਜੈਸੇ ਖੇਤੋਂ ਸੇ ਅੰਨ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤੈਸੇ ਦ੍ਵੈਖ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਸੇ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਆਦ, ਪਾਪ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਸੇ ਔਰ ਕਰਮ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ) ਰਾਤ ਸਾਉਣੀ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਹੈ ਤੇ 'ਕਾਮ' ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਲੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋ ਜੀਵ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਤ 'ਕਾਮ' ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ), ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਹਾੜੀ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਹੈ ਤੇ 'ਕ੍ਰੋਧ' ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਲੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਬਿਤਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ),

Fareedkot Teekaਲੋਭੁ ਜੋ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਵੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਹਲ ਜੋਤਣੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਿਥ੍ਵੀ ਕੀ ਗਿਲ ਕੋ ਵੱਤ੍ਰ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਔ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਬੀਜ ਹੈ। ਪੁਨਾ ਹਾਲੀ (ਰਾਹ) ਵਾਹੁਣੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਮੀਨ ਕੇ (ਕੁਹੇਤ) ਖੋਟਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜੋ ਬਿਖ੍ਯੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਣਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਲਈ 'ਲੱਬ' ਵੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਦੇਂਦਾ) ਹੈ ਤੇ ਝੂਠ (ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਲਈ) ਬੀਜ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋ ਲੱਬ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ)।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦਰੋਗੁ = ਝੂਠ। ਬੀਉ = ਬੀਜ। ਹਾਲੀ ਰਾਹਕੁ = ਹਲ ਵਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਬੀਜਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਹੇਤ = ਮੋਹ।

Fareedkot Teekaਬਿਸ੍ਯੋਂ ਕਾ ਜੋ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਇਹੁ ਹਲੁ ਹੈ ਔ ਵਿਕਾਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਕਮਾਉਣਾ ਏਹੁ (ਮਣ) ਬੋਹਲੁ ਹੈ। ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ (ਹੁਕਮੀ) ਪ੍ਰਮੇਸਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੇਂ ਖਟਤਾ ਔ ਖਾਤਾ, ਭਾਵ ਮੰਦ ਕਰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਭੋਗਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh'ਮੋਹ' ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਲਈ ਹਲ ਵਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ; ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ 'ਹਲ' ਹੈ; ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਹਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਇਸ ਕਮਾਈ ਦਾ ਖਟਿਆ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਣ = ਬੋਹਲ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜਦ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਤਲਬ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਸਣੇ, ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਬ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗੀਏਗਾ ਤਾਂ (ਜਣੇਦਾ) ਪਿਤਾ ਹੀ ਔਤਰਾ ਜਾਇਗਾ, ਭਾਵ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋ ਨਰਕੋਂ ਸੇ ਰਖ੍ਯਾ ਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਜੈਸਾ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਹੂਆ ਜੈਸਾ ਨਾ ਹੂਆ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥☬ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਕੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਦੋਂ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਕਰਤੂਤ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜੇਹਾ ਜੀਵ-ਰੂਪ) ਪਿਉ (ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਅਉਤ੍ਰਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੀਵਨ ਅਜਾਂਈ ਗੁਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਉਤੁ = (ਅ-ਉਤੁ + ਅ-ਪੁਤੁ) ਅਪੁੱਤ੍ਰਾ, ਅਉਤ੍ਰਾ, ਸੰਤਾਨ = ਹੀਣ। ਜਣੇਦਾ = ਜਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਪਿਉ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਇਉ = ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ। ਪਤਿ ਪਾਟੀ = ਗੁਆਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ। ਸਿਫਤੀ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ। ਜੀਵਤ ਜੀਵੈ = ਅਸਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਹੁ = ਮਹੀਨਾ। ਪਖੁ = (ਚਾਨਣਾ ਤੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਪੱਖ) ਅੱਧਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ। ਕਿਹੁ = ਕਿਛੁ, ਕੁਝ। ਚਲੈ = ਤੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੁਹਤੁ = ਮੁਹੂਰਤ, ਦੋ ਘੜੀ।
