ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਲੈ ਪਾਇ; ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਜਾਣੀਐ ॥

likhiaa palai paae; so sach jaaneeai |

Sant Singh KhalsaOne whose pre-ordained destiny is activated, comes to know the True Lord.

Prof. Sahib Singhਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾਈਏ, ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ (ਨਾਮ-ਸਿਮਰਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ (ਲੇਖ) ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਲੈ ਪਾਇ = ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਨਿਰਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ (ਇਥੋਂ ਜਗਤ ਤੋਂ) ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਇਆ ਜਾਣੀਐ = ਇਥੋਂ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਸਮਝ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਸਮਝ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਕੁ ਪੱਕੇ ਜੰਜੀਰ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ)। ਨਿਬੇੜੁ = ਨਿਰਨਾ, ਨਿਆਂ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਸੋ,) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਾਇਤਬਾਰ = ਚੁਗ਼ਲਖ਼ੋਰ। ਹੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਵਾਣੀ = ਹੱਥ-ਕੜੀ, ਕਾਠ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਖੂ (ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ)-(ਬੱਸ! ਜਗਤ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ (ਉਲਟੀਆਂ) ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਏਵੈ = ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ। ਗੁਆਉ = ਗੁਫ਼ਤਗੂ, ਬਚਨ। ਪਾਰਖੂ = ਚੰਗੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਇਲਤ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਜੋ (ਕੂੜੀ) ਝੂਠੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਥਾਉਂ ਪੂਰਤੀ ਹੈਂ, ਭਾਵ ਮਰਣੇ ਪਰਣੇ ਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਲੈਣੇ ਦੇਣੇ ਮੇਂ ਮੋਹਰੇ ਬੈਠਤੀ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਸ਼ਰਾਰਤਿ (ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਚੌਧਰੀ (ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤੇ ਝੂਠੀ ਜ਼ਨਾਨੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਥਾਂ ਮੱਲਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ)।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਇਲਤਿ = ਇੱਲਤਿ, ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤ। ਕੂੜੀ = ਝੂਠੀ ਜ਼ਨਾਨੀ। ਪੂਰੇ ਥਾਉ = ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਥਾਂ ਮੱਲਦੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਗੁਰੋਂ ਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਲਜੁਗ ਕਾ ਜੇਹਾ ਨ੍ਯਾਉਂ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪੂਰਬ ਕਹਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥☬ਜੇ ਕਹੇਂ ਪੜਨੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਲੀ ਕਾ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਪਜਤਾ ਹੋਵੈਗਾ? ਸੋ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹ ਹੈ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਰਵਈਆ ਵਰਤੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਓਥੇ ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਦਾ ਪਹਰਾ ਜਾਣੋ)। ਪਰ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਤੀਰਾ ਮਾੜਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਰਵਈਏ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਹੋਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਮੁਖ = ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ। ਸਾਰ = ਕਦਰ। ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ = ਨ ਜਾਨਣਿ, ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ। ਜਲਤੇ = ਸੜਦੇ। ਕਰਹਿ = ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਹਨਾਂ ਠੱਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਗ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਜੋ ਭੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਡੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾਈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਿਨੈ = ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ (ਭੀ)। ਲਜ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ। ਮੁਠੇ = ਠੱਗੇ। ਏਨੀ ਠਗੀਂ = ਇਹਨਾਂ (ਪੰਜ) ਠੱਗਾਂ ਨੇ। ਰਖੀ = ਰੱਖੀ, ਬਚਾਈ। ਸੇ ਠਗ-ਉਹ ਠੱਗ, ਉਹ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਹਨਾਂ (ਠੱਗਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਠੱਗ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ) ਦਾਉ ਲਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ) ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਠਗਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ = ਠੱਗ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਚਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ। ਜਿ = ਜਿਹੜੇ। ਪਾਹਿ = ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹੋਰਿ = (ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਹੋਰ' ਤੋਂ)। ਹੋਰਿ ਕੇਤੇ = ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ। ਮੁਠੈ ਜਾਹਿ = (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਰਮਾਏ ਵਲੋਂ) ਲੁੱਟੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਕਰਮਾ ਬਾਹਰੇ = ਭਾਗ-ਹੀਣ ਬੰਦੇ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਬੜਾ ਡੂੰਘਾ (ਸਮੁੰਦਰ) ਹੈ, (ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਥਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਹੇ = ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ। ਮੁਹਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ। ਮੁਹੇ ਮੁਹਿ = ਮੂੰਹੋ ਮੂੰਹ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰੀਏ) ਤਾਂ ਬੇਸ਼ਕ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਅੱਪੜੋ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਇਹ ਨਿਸਚਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਹ = (ਭਾਵ,) ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ। ਗਿਰਾਹ = ਗਿਰਾਹੀ, (ਭਾਵ,) ਰੋਜ਼ੀ। ਜਾਣੀਐ = ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨੩॥
