Fareedkot Teekaਠਠੇ ਅਖਰ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਸੋ ਕਿਸੀ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ (ਠਾਹਹਿ) ਢਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਠਾਹਹਿ = ਦੁਖਾਂਦੇ।

ਜੋ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗਿ; ਏਕਹਿ ਲਪਟਾਹੀ ॥

Sant Singh Khalsaand who cling to the One Lord alone, do not make trouble for anyone's mind.

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ) ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਰੋਧ ਬਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜਦੇ ਹਨ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਠਹਕਿ ਠਹਕਿ = ਖਪ ਖਪ ਕੇ, ਖਹਿ ਖਹਿ ਕੇ, ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਰੋਧ ਬਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ।

Sant Singh KhalsaI bow down, and fall to the ground in humble adoration, countless times, to the All-powerful Lord, who possesses all powers.

ddaddaa. dderaa ihu nahee; jeh dderaa teh jaan |

Sant Singh KhalsaDADDA: This is not your true place; you must know where that place really is.
Manmohan SinghD: This is not thy abode, know that place where thy abode is.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਡ-ਤੇਰਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ, ਜਿਥੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਅਸਲ ਪੱਕੀ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਵਾਲਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਡੇਰਾ = ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ। ਜਾਨੁ = ਪਛਾਣ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਕੀਹ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਜਮ = (ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ) ਜੁਗਤਿ। ਸਬਦਿ = ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ।

Fareedkot Teeka(ਇਆ) ਇਸ ਡੇਰੇ ਕੋ (ਸ੍ਰਮੁ) ਅਤੀ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਘਾਲੈ) ਪਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਬੜੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਘਾਲਾਂ ਘਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸ੍ਰਮੁ = ਮਿਹਨਤ। ਘਾਲੈ = ਜਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਘਾਲ ਘਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਾ ਕਾ ਤਸੂ; ਨਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਾਲੈ ॥

Sant Singh Khalsabut not one iota of this shall go there with you.

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧਰਮਰਾਇ ਢਾਹ = (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਮਹਲ ਨੂੰ) ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਢਾਹ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਦੀ ਢਾਹ। ਕਿਨਹਿ = ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਨੇ। ਬੰਧ ਨ ਘਾਲਿਓ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਕ ਨ ਪਾਈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਣ ਤੇ = ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ। ਸੀਝੀਐ = ਜਿੱਤੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਤਮ = ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਉਮੈ ਤੇ ਦ੍ਵੈਤ ਨਾਲ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਨ = ਦ੍ਵੈਤ। ਮਰੈ = ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਰੇ। ਸੋਭਾਦੂ = ਦੋਹਾਂ ਬਾਹਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਚਲਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ।
